Fr. Prof. Józef Stala (1966–2025): Scientific and Organizational Path in the Service of Catechesis and Family Education

In Poland, many scientists dedicate their lives to the development of knowledge and education, shaping the social and intellectual foundations of the country’s future. Their work helps society face modern challenges. One of these outstanding scientists was Fr. Prof. Dr. Józef Stala (1966–2025), who made significant contributions to the development of catechetics, catechesis, and family education. The article presents his key achievements in these fields. The author points out the wide range of Fr. Stala’s activities, including publishing, organizational-scientific, and pastoral efforts. Referring to selected academic works by Fr. Stala, the author emphasizes that his publications on family catechesis have become a valuable source of knowledge for both educators and clergy involved in the pastoral care of families. His work is an invaluable contribution to the development of contemporary education in Poland. He also played an important role in educating young academic staff as an academic teacher, supervisor, reviewer of theses, and organizer of internationalized scientific research in Poland.

The license right shall be transferred the moment of transfer of the Work to the Jesuit University Ignatianum in Cracow. The license shall be limited in time for a period of 15 years from the date it is granted.
