Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The text has not been previously published and has not been submitted for publication in another publishing house. (Any comments please put in the comment for the publisher).
  • The file has been saved in the Microsoft Word (doc) or RTF format.
  • The footnotes included the current URLs of the referenced websites.
  • The text uses single spaces between words, Times New Roman font size of 11 points. The headlines in the text have been marked in bold italics. Illustrations and graphs have been provided in separate files.
  • The text meets the stylistic and bibliographic requirements in accordance with the Guidelines for authors, which can be found in the "About the journal" tab.
  • The abstract meets the requirements as to the number of words (min 150, max 200) and the structure.

Author Guidelines

The texts are accepted for publishing under the condition of receiving positive reviews and meeting the editorial requirements mentioned below.

The author is required to complete, sign and send to the address of the editor (by mail) or scan (via email) statements about the originality of the text, the transfer of the copyright, the occurrence of conflict of interest and disclosure of funding sources of the article. Concerning texts published in the section: Articles and theses

Each text has to comply with the journal's profile and the proposed topic of a given issue. The authors should clearly present the aim and research problem of the issue they investigate and a detailed analysis of the references used. The conclusions should be presented in clear and transparent way.

 

Concerning texts published in the section: Research reports

The text should refer to theory and the current state of research. The authors should present their methodological assumptions (subject, aim, research problem, methods, test) and the conclusions and results should be presented in a clear and transparent way.

 

All of the texts are subject to formal and editorial evaluation, in accordance with the criteria mentioned below concerning the correct notation of footnotes, bibliography and an abstract, which should include the following: the subject and the aim of the research, a short description of the context of the presented issue and conclusions; in a research report: the subject, aim and topic of the research, research methods, the description of the research group and research conclusions).

 

Structure of the text:

1) First and last name of the Author of the article, without titles and academic degrees;

2) Affiliation;

3) The title of the article in Polish, bold;

4) The title of the article in English;

5) The abstract in Polish (min. 150 max. 250 words);

6) Keywords in Polish (min.5);

7) Abstract in English (min. 150 max. 250 words);

8) Keywords (minimum 5);

5) The text should be divided by headings and meet editorial requirements;

6) Bibliography;

7) Information concerning the author: academic degree, first and last name, affiliation (name of the university, faculty, institute, chair), e-mail or correspondence address which will be published below the text.

 

Editorial requirements:

a) the text should be written in MS Word (.doc, .docx);

b) text size: from 20k characters to 40k characters; ;

c) font: Times New Roman 12 p., Line spacing 1,5; text justified to both left and right margins;

d) the whole text should include footnotes which respect the comma convention outlined below (font: Times New Roman 10 p., line spacing 1); no names of publishers should be included in the footnotes;

e) all of the margins: 2,5 cm

f) quotations should be written in inverted commas, while paraphrases of a given text should have a "cf" reference in a footnote

g) the text must not include highlights, underlining, bold, space out, spaces before full stops, commas, semicolons, double spaces, tabulation key, the space key to move a word to the next line or to make indentations;

h) A bibliography should be included at the end of the article (alphabetical order)

 

 

Copyright Notice

By submitting an article, the author declares that:

they are the author of the article (hereinafter referred to as the Work) and:
- is entitled to exclusive and unlimited copyright to the Work,
- is entitled to dispose of the copyrights to the Work.

The Author grants the Jesuit University Ignatianum in Cracow a free, non-exclusive, territorially unlimited license to use the Work in the following fields of exploitation: 
- publishing the Work in paper, digital or magnetic form;
- multiplying the work by any method, without limiting the number of editions or copies;
- distribution of the work and its copies in any form, including marketing, sales, lending, and lease;
- placing the work in a computer memory;
- distribution of the work in information networks, including the Internet;
- public performance, exhibition, display, reproduction, broadcasting and re-broadcasting, as well as making the Work available to the public in such a manner that everyone could have access to it at a time and place chosen by themselves;
- within the scope of dependent rights to the Work, covering, in particular, the right to make necessary changes to the Work, resulting from editorial and methodical preparation, as well as to make translations of the Work into other languages.

The license right shall be transferred the moment of transfer of the Work to the Jesuit University Ignatianum in Cracow. The Jesuit University Ignatianum in Cracow is entitled to grant sub-licenses to the Work in terms of the right granted. The license shall be limited in time for a period of 15 years from the date it is granted.

General Information

  1. The operator of the Website is: Nicolaus Copernicus University.
  2. The website performs the function of obtaining information about users and their behaviour in the following way:
    1. by information entered voluntarily in forms;

  1. The website collects information voluntarily provided by the user.

  1. The Website uses cookies.
  2. 14. Cookies contain statistical data, text files in particular, that are stored in the Website User's end device and are intended to be used for browsing the sites of the Website. Cookies usually contain the name of the website from which they originate, their storage time on the end user device, as well as a unique number.

  1. Information about some of user behaviours are subject to logon in the server layer. These data are used solely to administer the site and to provide the most efficient hosting service.
  2. Browsed resources of the Website are identified by URL addresses. In addition, recorded may be:
    1. enquiry receipt time
    2. answer sending time
    3. name of the User station - identification performed by the HTTP protocol,
    4. information about errors that occurred during the execution of the HTTP transaction,
    5. URL address of the page previously visited by the user (referrer link) - in the case when the transition to the Website was made via link;
    6. information on the user's browser;
    7. g. IP address information.

Data sharing

  1. The data shall be made accessible to third parties solely within the limits of the law.
