About the Journal
„Archiwum Emigracji. Studia – Szkice – Dokumenty” / “The Archive of Emigration. Studies – Essays – Documents” is a peer-reviewed academic journal published under an Open Access model. It serves as a platform for discussion on emigration in the broadest sense and promotes the work of émigré artists.
The journal publishes studies on the history and culture of Polish emigration from the 19th to the 21st century, as well as on the relationships between Polish emigration and political emigration from other countries of Central and Eastern Europe. “The Archive of Emigration” is published annually. It accepts and publishes original scholarly articles in the following disciplines: literary studies, history, and art history. Submitted articles undergo a double-blind peer review process, and the editorial board operates in accordance with the principles of publication ethics (based on COPE guidelines and the Code of Ethics of the Polish Academy of Sciences), opposing practices such as ghostwriting and guest authorship. At every stage of the editorial process, the editorial board takes care to avoid conflicts of interest, and if it identifies any flagrant violations of ethical standards or factual errors, it takes appropriate action, including removing the article from publication.
