The Art of Editing. Textological and Editorial Studies

The journal’s title "Sztuka Edycji" ("The Art of Editing") makes a reference to a well-known textbook by Konrad Górski entitled "Sztuka edytorska. Zarys teorii", which was published in 1956, evoking much interest and academic discussions among the scholars of literature who were dealing with philology in its traditional form. For the professor from Toruń, text has always been a starting point for interpretations and analyses. A properly edited text should mark the beginning of one’s intellectual adventure with ideas and poetics of a literary work, which is exceptionally well-documented by Górski’s work entitled "Tekstologia i edytorstwo dzieł literackich", which is a valuable completion of the Author’s previous works.
