Abstract

This paper presents a tool to measure the pressure to have passion – the Passion Pressure Scale (PPS). The research category passion pressure was operationalised as: a) passion pressure understood as pressure to have a passion; b) pressure is a compulsion (internal and external) that triggers a submissive response and a belief in the need to have a passion. The Passion Pressure Scale (PPS) is a single-factor tool designed to measure the intensity of the pressure to have passion in adults. The PPS allows us to determine the intensity of the occurrence of the pressure to have passion caused by external factors. The PPS has satisfactory reliability and validity. The single-factor structure of the scale was also validated positively. Due to its satisfactory psychometric properties, the Passion Pressure Scale (PPS) can be used in group research and in individual psychological or pedagogical diagnosis.
