What is the main difference between religious and secular point of view, Christian and secular pedagogy? This question is considered with reference to views of John Paul II (reason and faith relationship), Hans Urs von Bathasar (commitment to the search of the truth) and Romano Guardini (Grace supporting the freedom, destiny and Providence). There are many religious aspects in the educational experience: existential experiences (sense/absurdity of life, injustice, suffering), “participation” in evil, destiny, community. The distinction of Christian educational experience is based on one fact – it is the presence of the perfect and concrete example – Jesus Christ.
