Sztuczna inteligencja współcześnie jest wykorzystywana w wielu sferach życia, jak i działalności państwa. Jedną z takich sfer jest bezpieczeństwo. Nowe technologie w sferze bezpieczeństwa powinny być stosowane powszechnie. Powinna być też wykorzystywana sztuczna inteligencja, która pozwala nie tylko na reakcję na już istniejące zagrożenie, ale też (m.in. przez analizę dużej ilości danych w stosunkowo krótkim czasie) na ich przewidywanie i im zapobieganie. Musi być ona jednak stosowana odpowiedzialnie, aby jej wykorzystanie nie stanowiło zagrożenia dla bezpieczeństwa, a je chroniło. Celem artykułu jest przeprowadzenie analizy możliwości wykorzystania sztucznej inteligencji w środowisku bezpieczeństwa, które musi być otwarte na nowe rozwiązania, aby można było skuteczniej chronić społeczeństwo i państwo. Jako tezę należy przyjąć stwierdzenie, że sztuczna inteligencja może sprzyjać poprawie bezpieczeństwa, pod warunkiem, że będzie odpowiedzialnie wykorzystywana oraz odpowiednio nadzorowana. W artykule wykorzystano metodę dogmatyczno-prawną, a także metodę teoretyczno-prawną.
