About the Journal
Purpose and scope of the journal
Studia Iuridica Toruniensia is a scientific undertaking realized by the Employees of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. It refers to the tradition of the periodical Zeszyty Naukowe Uniwersytetu Mikołaja Kopernika [Research Bulletin of the Nicolaus Copernicus University] published since 1961, and later under a changed title Acta Universitatis Nicolai Copernici. Nauki Humanistyczno-Społeczne. Prawo [Acta Universitatis Nicolai Copernici. Humanities and Social Sciences. Law].
At present, it publishes articles, studies, commentaries, and reviews concerning the issues of the Polish, international and comparative law. The journal invites domestic and foreign Authors to publish papers on current and significant legal issues, legislative changes, as well as theoretical concepts in jurisprudence.
The aim is to create a Journal that would allow to express opinion-forming statements about important matters for jurisprudence and legal practice.
Studia Iuridica Toruniensia were put on the list of scored scientific journals – receiving 70 points.

The journal does not charge for the publishing process.
Open Access Policy
The journal offers access to the contents in the open access system on the principles of non-exclusive license Creative Commons (CC BY-ND 3.0).
The funding obtained
(1) Studia Iuridicia Toruniensia vol. 2/2018 and vol. 2/2019 - a task financed under contract 704/P-DUN/2018 from the funds of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education allocated for science dissemination activities.
(2) The journal has been co-financed from the funds of the Ministry of Education and Science under agreement no. RCN/SP/0523/2021/1 of 14 December 2022 from the aid granted under the programme "Development of scientific journals".
