Positive and negative conditions for declaring consumer bankruptcy

The consumer who is unable to pay his or her obligation can after year 2009 under Polish law Mle for personal bankruptcy. However, the procedure was very strict and was not widely available. The statute allows individuals to file for personal bankruptcy only in extraordinary circumstances that are beyond their control, such as unexpected illness or loss of employment. Conditions for declaring consumer bankruptcy in Poland and other EU countries are compared in the article. The Author also presents diZerences between conditions before and after coming into force of Polish Bankruptcy Act amendment in year 2014.References
