Changes in the composition of the editorial team
In February 2025, Professor Dr. hab. Roman Czaja, Editor-in-Chief and co-founder of the journal, decided to step down from his position. In September 2025, Professor Dr. Jürgen Sarnowsky, also Editor-in-Chief and co-founder of the journal, announced his decision to resign from this role as well.
Their departure marks an important moment in the history of our journal, which has developed over the years under their leadership and through their scholarly vision.
These decisions were received by the editorial team with full understanding. At the same time, the editors wish to express their deepest gratitude for their many years of dedication, inspiring cooperation, and invaluable contribution to the growth and shaping of the journal’s academic profile. Thanks to their passion, expertise, and commitment, the journal has earned a well-established position within the scholarly community, becoming a respected forum for the exchange of ideas and research in its field. We are pleased to welcome both Professors as members of the Editorial Board.
In February 2025, Dr. hab. Krzysztof Kwiatkowski, prof. UMK, was elected as Editor-in-Chief. For many years, he has been actively involved in the editorial work and has significantly contributed to shaping the academic profile of the journal.
In September 2025, the group of Editors-in-Chief was further expanded to include Professor Dr. Jochen Burgtorf, previously our long-standing and vital editorial board member, and Professor Dr. Grischa Vercamer.
We wish the newly appointed Editors-in-Chief much success, fulfillment in their editorial work, and the continued dynamic development of the journal, which – thanks to their knowledge, experience, and commitment – will remain an important platform for scholarly discussion and international cooperation.
In September 2025, additional changes were also made within the editorial team: Dr. Anna Maleszka was appointed as Associate Editor, and Dr. Gregory Leighton became the new Assistant Editor.
