L’article analyse le concile de Blachernes (1351) comme un moment constitutif dans l’histoire de l’Église orthodoxe, en le comparant aux conciles œcuméniques antérieurs de Nicée (325) et de Chalcédoine (451). La première partie présente le contexte historique, le déroulement et les conséquences des conciles de Nicée et de Chalcédoine, qui ont façonné l’ontologie trinitaire et la définition christologique. La deuxième partie examine la controverse hésychaste et la doctrine de Grégoire Palamas, dont la forme normative a été adoptée par le synode de Blachernes, établissant la distinction entre l’essence et les énergies de Dieu. La troisième partie compare les trois moments constitutifs : ontologique (Nicée), christologique (Chalcédoine) et mystagogique (Blachernes). En conclusion, il est affirmé que Nicée et Chalcédoine constituent le christianisme universel, tandis que Blachernes constitue l’identité orthodoxe en offrant une dogmatisation de l’expérience spirituelle et mystique.
