About the Journal

Biblica et Patristica Thoruniensia is a quarterly journal founded in 2008 at the Faculty of Theology, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Poland. Each issue comprises articles devoted to biblistics and patrology, especially the questions concerning patristic exegesis. Each year the first issue is devoted to various problems in the field of biblistics and patrology (Varia). Subsequent issues focus on chosen topics. The second issue concentrates on some current social problems viewed from the biblical and patristic perspective. So far two issues have been published: Violence against Women? and Hospitality. For Whom? The third issue is dedicated to biblical Thomism while the last issue of the year is devoted to a given Book of the Old or New Testament studied from the perspective of the current problems concerning its exegesis, theology, hermeneutics and patristic interpretation.

Scoring by the Ministry of Education and Science (February 9, 2021): 70 points.

Articles for publication should be submitted according to the following schedule:

No. 1 of each year – before the end of January,
No. 2 of each year – before the end of April,
No. 3 of each year – before the end of August,
No. 4 of each year – before the end of October.
