The authoress depicts the genesis of the Directory for Masses with children (1.11.1973), and describes its structure and suggestions focusing on music and singing. She discusses the impact of the document amongst Polish liturgists and activists of renewal of the liturgy, and then shows the Pastoral recommendations of Polish Episcope (17–18.11.1976). In next article part, she presents negative and positive statements in the literature about liturgical-pastoral practice in Poland. She emphasizes the importance of proper selection of songs and gives criteria against text and melody. The authoress points out musical and esthetic education of children in families and at school as preparing children for a good participation in singing during Holy Mass. She indicates the necessity to preserve liturgical norms by clergy and church musicians.
