Social Mariology of Józef Tischner

The article addresses the issue of Tischner's social Mariology. This outstanding Polish author is well known for his social commitment and scientific reflection in this area. However, his Mariological thought is almost completely unknown. It is nevertheless true that precisely in his works one can find a hint that proper Mariological studies can become an extremely fruitful stimulus for the appropriate development of research in the area of social relations. The present work examines this issue based on the following three works of the above mentioned thinker: his Marian Advent sermon, Pilgrim's Book and Help in the Examination of Conscience.
