Abstract

One of the works commanded by Christ, in His discourse given to Saint Faustina Kowalska, was the foundation of a religious of the Divine Mercy. Fr Michał Sopoćko resolved to undertake the foundation of such an order. Apart from publishing the sources, used to present the sequence of events, for the first time, the letter of Fr Sopoćko is published, in which He clarifies the vision of this order, contained in “The Diary” (1155–1158). It shows univocally that this order was not only founded, but also exists to this day. It’s continuators are presently: The Sisters of the Merciful Jesus and the Institute of the Divine Mercy.
