Forming Relations Between the Country and the Church. The Legal-Historical Aspect

Abstract

The Church and the state are two communities inhabited by the same people. They can not be divided. Each of them has the separate objective. The main task of the Church is to serve people, give them help to achieve basic religious and ethical values and lead every member of the community to salvation. State is the community created by people who usually belong to the same cultural community whose objective is to satisfy their temporal needs. That is why there is a need to establish an appropriate relation between the Church and the state, as communities with different natures, arose. This paper describes the way the relations between the state and the Church have been formed over history, from the beginning of Christian era up to date.
