The anointing of the sick is one of the least known and the most underestimated sacraments. Unfortunately, from the priest’s point of view, it is usually seen as ”the last rites”, rather than the sacrament of strengthening in the sickness. The worshippers do not see its profoundness and meaning. All the more, noticing the betrothed reality in it seems to be something exotic. The taken subject results from the desire to show a right perspective of this sacrament and represent its richness. The anointing of the sick is neither a viaticum nor a sacrament administered just in case. First of all, it is to remind the alliance of baptism, cleaning by confession, leading to listening to the voice of the Betrothed and physical contact with Him by accepting His Flesh during the Holy Communion. The anointment of the sick is an actual sacrament of the betrothed alliance of Jesus Christ with a man, which leads to spiritual strengthening in the sickness and even to physical healing.
