In this article we discussed the possible baptismal elements occurring in Rev 2–3. We can notice them twelve: the candlestick (2:5); the fruit of the tree of life (2:7); the crown (2:10; 3:11); the hidden manna (2:17a); the white stone (2:17b); the new name (2:17c); the star (2:28); the white raiment (3:5.18); the name in the book of life (3:5); the open door (3:8); the gold tried in the fire (3:18a); the eyesalve (3:18b). Although the author of the Rev directly does not talk about baptism, on the basis of these elements, we can infer that the author makes some allusions to the sacrament of baptism. He also shows how the consequences of Christian initiation have influence on the development of the baptismal identity. Through baptism, one becomes a witness of Jesus, is included in his prophetic mission, veils in him and abandons his own ideas on his life and directs his existence toward the eternal life through actual participation in the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus.
