The aim of present article is to retain certain elements that Hispanics Visigoths contributed to the liturgy that was formed in Spain and southern France between the sixth and seventh centuries and continue today nourishing the faith and spirituality of small mozarabs communities in Spain, particularly in Toledo, in the Cathedral and in two parishes (the Santas Justa y Rufina and Santa Eulalia). The question is what custom of the Visigoths was transimited to this liturgy from the conversion of Recared to the Catholic faith and abandoning his former Arianism legacy of Ulfilas. Two types of elements attract attention in this regard: on the one hand, a “Byzantine-courtly” cultural language assumed by the Visigothic elites; secondly, the important theological and spiritual contribution of St Ildefonso de Toledo and his school to the euchology of the Hispano-Mozarabic liturgy (bearing in mind that after the 589 St. Ildefons is the first Gothic Ildefonso assuming the episcopacy in the royal city of Toledo, center from the Third Council of the religious life of the Kingdom).
