faith, gift, Thomas AquinasAbstract
From the Enlightement onwards there is a tendency to identify faith with religious outlook. Moreover, one may notice an assumption, that faith consists of one’s religious beliefs. The author makes an analysis of the Heb 1:11 in the context of Catholic-Protestant studies on that text, as well as the Church’s teaching as presented in St. Thomas Aquinas’ works and the Encyclical Letter Spe salvi.
