Pentecostalization of Christianity and Mental Disorders: Selected Pastoral Issues

The article presents selected symptoms of the Pentecostalization of Christianity, which is present in the Catholic Church, in the context of pastoral care for people with mental disorders. Mental disorders are one of the most common causes of reduced quality of life, and in extreme cases even death. Hence, there is a need for reflection on the pastoral ministry to people with such problems, and their religiosity is often influenced by Pentecostal tendencies. This text can be used by pastors working at various medical units, as well as all those involved in ordinary pastoral care, where there are also believers with mental dysfunctions.
