Abstract

This article points to the fact that the liturgical proclamation of the Gospel of John makes it possible to discover the book’s immense thematic richness, a richness that is made even more evident by the arrangement of the Mass Lectionary. The understanding of the text contained in the liturgical book and proclaimed during the liturgy should also be further explored in the lectio divina, which is a spiritual nourishment that culminates in the sacramental liturgy.
