The COVID-19 pandemic has affected humanity not only biologically, but also psychologically and spiritually. It became an opportunity for a wisdom reflection on the human condition in a time of crisis. The pandemic has shaped a specific world view in people and forced them to behave in certain ways that had not existed before the pandemic. In this manner, a new anthropological paradigm called homo pandemicus was formed.
The purpose of this work is to define the foundations of the discipline called pandemic philosophy. First, the subject matter, method and purpose of pandemic philosophy are defined. Then, three human phenomena accompanying a pandemic – related to truth, knowledge and freedom – are presented.
