The author refers to the modern stage recitation technique offering a new typology of characters: Sik-Sik, or the magro-mago, the thin magus in a black top hat, with a white face, dressed in black, who establishes direct contact with the audience using voice modulation, mimics, pantomime and other recitation elements. Sik-Sik becomes a model for other prominent figures of the Italian drama, such as Pirandello or Fo.References
