Abstract

The impact of AI on daily life is transforming our existence. We must ask ourselves where we are headed without fear of the future, but to do so, we need to delve into what is truly specific to Christian spirituality. Based on a phenomenological analysis of AI, questions directed at Christian anthropology lead us to emphasize communion, embodiment, and vulnerability as fundamental keys to understanding humanity. From this perspective, the analysis of human action and the need for character formation guide us to highlight the flourishing of the person through charity. From this primacy of the person, AI, following a logic of care rather than domination, will be a powerful instrument for continuing to build the “magnifica humanitas” (magnificient humanity) that God intended for the universe.
