Introduction to the Turkish administrative law

Abstract

The existing administrative law system in Turkey has not been profoundly analysed in the Polish science of law. It is difficult to find a text related to Turkey, which would include a legal or administrative context. The current reality in which, apart from constitutionalists, only a few attempt to describe the various institutions of the Turkish law, mostly in a comparative way, is – in my opinion – difficult to justify. The main purpose of this article is to encourage a Polish reader to take an interest in the Turkish legal system by presenting basic information on the Turkish administrative law. The subject of the paper was not chosen by chance, as the analyzed area greatly reflects the directions of most branches of the Turkish law development after the democratic transition in the first half of the last century.
