Czynności pozajęzykowe w procesie translatorycznym – kilka uwag w kontekście kształcenia tłumaczy

Abstrakt

The article discusses the problems of non-linguistic activities connected with translating. In the first part the author analyses the development of problem solving competence through strategies employed in translating. The strategies are necessary to solve linguistic as well as non-linguistic translation problems. In the process of acquiring competence as the translator or interpreter it appears significant for students to know factors (e.g. time), specific translation tasks (spoken vs. written translation) that determine translation activities. Furthermore, it may be useful for students to know tools used while problem solving. The paper finally presents some examples of non-linguistic problems (German-Polish), which can help students to understand and practise the non-linguistic translation activities.
