Artykuł jest edycją i omówieniem niepublikowanego dotychczas testamentu Stanisława Lubienieckiego (1615–1675) duchownego i polemisty religijnego braci polskich, po 1655 r. na wygnaniu w Szwecji, Danii i Niemczech. Dokument ten jest interesujący jako jedyny zachowany testament duchownego braci polskich z połowy XVII w. i rzadki przykład testamentu duchownych protestanckich z dawnej Rzeczypospolitej Obojga Narodów. Pozwala on także przybliżyć testatora jako małżonka, ojca rodziny oraz duszpasterza. Artykuł pokazuje też, jak bardzo teologia braci polskich w połowie XVII w. była zbliżona do teologii ewangelicko-reformowanej, w tym także, zdawałoby się ideologicznie odległych braciom polskich, amerykańskich purytanów i francuskich hugenotów, na co dotychczasowa historiografia braci polskich często nie zwracała uwagi.
