The article reviews the book Jak kwitnące drzewo. Florencja średniowieczna i renesansowa [Like a Flowering Tree: Medieval and Renaissance Florence] by Silvia Diacciati, Enrico Faini, Lorenzo Tanzini, and Sergio Tognetti, translated from the Italian original Come albero fiorito. Firenze tra Medioevo e Rinascimento. The reviewer’s attention is focused on the challenges of translating the book into Polish, particularly regarding linguistic and terminological issues. The text discusses the impact of translation choices on fidelity to the original work and how these choices align with the terminology used in medieval studies.
