The imprecise semantic characterisation of the title expressions from the title as defined in the Dictionary of the Polish Language edited by W. Doroszewski was used as an example of impressionism. This characterisation was contrasted with the proper isolation of the expressions from the title as language units though a meticulous extraction of their essential semantic features, which serves as an exemplification of the anti-impressionist attitude.
