The article analyzes the challenges faced by Ukrainian museums in the context of Russian aggression, using the perspective of museum anthropology. The first part focuses on the role of this discipline as a tool for critical analysis of the culture-forming role of museums. Subsequently, it examines the experiences of Ukrainian museum professionals who create exhibitions on the country’s recent history under the conditions of Russian aggression, using three institutions as case studies: the National Museum of the Revolution of Dignity in Kyiv, the Museum of the Anti-Terrorist Operation in Dnipro, and the “Ukrainian East” project at the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War in Kyiv.
