About the Journal
The quarterly KOSMOS is one of the oldest Polish journals promoting knowledge of the natural sciences, founded over 140 years ago (in 1876) by the Copernicus Society of Naturalists.
Since June 1, 2025, KOSMOS has been co-published by Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń.
The history of KOSMOS was presented by its former long-term Editor-in-Chief, Professor Kazimierz L. Wierzchowski, in an article available online: vol. 65, No. 2, 2016, pp. 151–161.
