For many years the last will was perceived as a source which contains exclusively information concerning eschatological matters and property instructions. At present, the act of the last wish is being used in different research, among other – in genealogical and biographical ones. That is salso a case of Marianna Dunin’s will (died 1703), castellan of Lubaczow, which enables us to recognise relations within her family, mutual emotions and relationships prevailing among her family and friends, reconstruct the concern of the testatrix for the future of her female relatives (of particularly a daughter-in-law and grandchildren), or to capture her resourcefulness and thriftiness, both in estate management, as well as a care of legacies indicated in the document.Downloads
