On the life and work of Nicolaus Copernicus – New scientific literature published in the anniversary year

The article discusses the core tenets and propositions of selected scientific literature regarding the life and work of Nicolaus Copernicus published in Poland in 2023. This year was declared the Year of Copernicus in relation to the 550th anniversary of the astronomer’s birth. The proposed review is thematically linked to the scientific events taking place during this year’s World Copernican Congress. The text includes reflections on the current state of Copernican studies and further possibilities for their development.
