Abstract

The review concerns the work by Przemysław Benken and Robert Borucki entitled Provincial „Solidarity” Citizens’ Committee in Koszalin in 1989. Source edition, Koszalin-Szczecin 2020. The authors analyzed the course of the election campaign in the Koszalin Voivodeship to the Sejm of the 10th term of the Polish People's Republic and the Senate of the 1st term in the June 1989 elections, which took place as a result of the Round Table agreements. Actions taken during the campaign by the participating parties: "Solidarity" and the government (represented mainly by the Polish United Workers' Party) were presented. The activities carried out by the Security Service as part of the case "Parawan" in the Koszalin Voivodeship in 1989 are presented.
