Senators of the Nonia gens in the urban space of Brixia (2nd century–first half of the 3rd century AD)

The gens Nonia from Brixia belonged to the senatorial elite of the Roman Empire in the 2nd and first half of the 3rd century AD. Analysis of inscriptions reveals a conscious commemorative strategy aimed at legitimising the family's status and maintaining its visibility in the urban space despite the imperial careers of its representatives.
