School is a reality that brings together the social worlds of students, teachers, and other people who construct its everyday life. Children and adolescents from forced migrant backgrounds have been part of the Polish education system for many years. Participation in education is a big challenge for this group of students due to difficult experiences from the country of origin, language barrier, cultural differences, etc. The text is devoted to the validation of the voice of children and young people with a refugee experience in the course of the research process in order to design / introduce changes in the work of the school. The article is divided into three parts. The first concerns the main educational and research problems related to the functioning of this group of students in Polish schools. The second analysis the issue of validity of conducting research among children and youth from forced migrant backgrounds. The last one presents one of the many ways to validate the voice of children and youth experiencing forced migration. It concerns the analysis of the narrative of this group of students on participation in school education from an
autobiographical perspective, taking into account the participatory approach.
