Abstract

The article presents issues related to the Norwegian education system, paying particular attention to pre-school education and the initial stage of school education, as well as the system of educating teachers in pre-school and early childhood education in Norway. The content was selected based on a sources analysis, the framework plan for kindergartens in Norway, the curriculum of school subjects in the Norwegian education system, legal acts, and the offers of the University of OsloMet in Oslo. The article was also based on reports and statistical analyzes from Norwegian databases available on the Internet and as well as on own experience resulting from many years of work in the Norwegian education system.
