The article examines the historical and contemporary development of Christian pacifism in the Netherlands, emphasizing its roots in Anabaptist, Mennonite, and Quaker traditions. It explores the evolution of pacifist thought from religious movements to broader social and political activism, particularly in the twentieth century. The study highlights the role of Dutch pacifist organizations in peacebuilding, anti-militarism, and humanitarian efforts. Furthermore, it addresses the challenges faced by modern Christian pacifism in the context of geopolitical tensions, climate change, and shifting societal values. The analysis provides an insight into the continuity and transformation of pacifist ideals in Dutch society.
