Abstract

The article aims to outline the organizational structure and competences of the Financial Police in Italy as one of the many police services in this country. Due to the lack of sufficient sources available in Polish, the work was prepared on the basis of those available in Italian-both legally binding and historical legal acts, as well as the official websites of the Financial Police and its museum, were used. Taking up the subject matter related to the organization of the Financial Police is justified by the entry into force of 1 March 2017 of the Act of 16 November 2016 about the National Treasury Administration because of the possibility of the future comparable presentation of services of similar competences operating in Poland and Italy.
