This article discusses the activities of Oskar Halecki, a professor of the University of Warsaw, in the International Committee on Intellectual Cooperation of the League of Nations. He sought to win support for the further development of intellectual life in the economically ruined countries of Central and Eastern Europe between 1922‑1925. This paper focuses on the concepts and motives that drove this eminent expert in the history of Central and Eastern Europe, and the effects of the methods he employed in seeking to establish and consolidate intellectual cooperation between CEE and western countries.Pobrania
