The article presents basic theoretical assumptions that would justify the legitimacy of usage of the therapeutic community method in the work with the homeless. The Homeless, as those excluded from society, often show a minimalist attitude by reluctantly engaging in a classic therapeutic and corrective actions. Therapeutic community, which obliges its members to gain experience via continuous social interaction, seems to be one of the most appropriate, though hardly ever used, ways to support reintegration of homeless people.
