Streszczenie - Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie metod i sposobów komunikowania się z pacjentem oraz przedstawienia reakcji obronnych pacjentów. W komunikacji z pacjentem możemy wyróżnić mowę werbalną i niewerbalną. Właściwe używanie zarówno jednej jak i drugiej w znaczący sposób może usprawnić komunikację z pacjentem hospitalizowanym. Dodatkowo znajomość mechanizmów obronnych pacjentów przyczynia się do ułatwienia komunikacji na drodze „chory – personel medyczny”.
Abstract- The purpose of the article is to show the methods and ways in communications with patients and present their defense mechanisms. Verbal and nonverbal speech can be distinguish in communication with patients. Using them in correct way can expedite the communication with inpatients. In addition, knowing the patient defense mechanisms, the communication can be easier between patient and medical staff.
