Journal of Education, Health and Sport eISSN 2391-8306 formerly Journal of Health Sciences formerly ISSN 1429-9623 publishes: original and review papers, cases study. All works are reviewed. The journal is addressed to a wide range of scientists and practitioners involved in education, health and sports in an interdisciplinary and integral approach.

 

1. Original papers, short reports, review papers and case reports should be sent to the editorial staff only electronically through the journal's portal.
2. Original papers must contain: introduction, purpose, material and methods, results, discussion, conclusions, references. Abstracts of original papers must contain 1400-1800 characters with spaces and must be divided into: introduction and purpose, material and method, results, conclusions. The volume of the text of the work is not limited.
3. Review articles must contain: introduction and purpose, description of the state of knowledge, summary, list of references. Summaries of review papers must contain 1400-1800 characters with spaces and must be divided into: introduction and purpose, a brief description of the state of knowledge, summary (conclusions). The volume of the text of the review papers is not limited.
4. Original and review papers must contain from 2 to 6 key words selected taking into account the terms contained in the Medical Subject Headings by MeSH.
5. The text of the original and review papers must be divided as follows:

The title of the work in English;

Full names and names of authors in English; individual identification numbers of ORCID; with E-mail addresses;

Full of Affiliation Authors in English with full postal addresses;

Summary in English;

Key words in English, separated by a semicolon (;);

Introduction

The introduction describes what the author hopes to achieve, and clearly indicates the problem under investigation. Should generalize the relevant studies to ensure the context and explain what research other authors, if any, are contested or require continuation. The end of the Introduction indicates the purpose of the study.

Material and methods of research

In the Material and Methods section, give a clear description of the study and how it was conducted; describe the procedures and materials used specifically so that the study can be replicated.

The Materials and Methods section should include the following subsections:

Participants
Describe the sample: how many participants, how they were recruited. Indicate the main demographic data (age and standard deviation, gender distribution, etc.), the main criteria for classifying participants into groups. Justify the representativeness of the sample.
At the end, it is indicated that the participants signed an informed consent form to participate in the study. If the study participants are children, the informed consent form is signed by their parents.

Methods
Describe the methods used in sufficient detail to enable others to repeat the study. If you have more than one method, use subsections with appropriate headings.
New methods should be described in detail, while well-established methods may be described briefly and cited accordingly. Indicate the standards for evaluating the results obtained or the corresponding rating scales.
List any tools used in data collection and the indicators they measure. These tools may include equipment, hardware, software or tests, etc.
When describing indicators, the International System of Units (SI) and standard abbreviations should be used.

Procedure
Briefly describe how you collected the required data. Explain how the experiment was carried out. Who tested the participants, where they were tested or observed, etc.
If the submitted papers contain studies involving humans or animals, the approval of the local ethics committee is required, and the authors must also confirm that the experiments described in the manuscript were performed in accordance with the ethical standards of the Declaration of Helsinki.

Statistical analysis
Indicate which programs were used for statistical analysis. Describe the statistical analysis procedures, but not their results: what statistics were used in the data analysis, the rationale for the use of these tests, indicate the level of significance used in the study. With small sample sizes, the use of parametric indicators is possible only if the normal distribution of features in the aggregate is confirmed.

Results

It is necessary to describe in detail the positive and / or negative results of the study and the results of the statistical analysis.
This section should be supported by tables and figures with minimal accompanying text. Together with the data in the text, as well as in tables and figures, statistical significance should be shown (indicate exact p values to three decimal places).
Headings and captions for tables and figures should allow them to be considered self-explanatory. There should be no repetition of data, tables or figures already presented.
Results should be presented accurately and should not contain material suitable for discussion.
Units, quantities and formulas must be expressed in accordance with the International System (SI units).

Discussion

The results of the study should be critically discussed in terms of the limitations of the research design, the method used, and the current knowledge available in the literature, how they can be interpreted in terms of previous studies and working hypotheses. Findings and their significance should be discussed in the broadest possible context, and shortcomings of the work should be emphasized. At the end of the discussion section, the practical implications of the study results should be presented. Future research directions can also be mentioned.

Conclusions

Should reflect the most important aspects of the results obtained in the presented study.

 

Author's contribution

For full transparency, all submitted manuscripts must include an Author Contribution Statement stating the work of each author. For research articles with multiple authors, a short paragraph must be provided stating their individual contributions.

Making a list of references is the responsibility of the author. References to the list, Any* Recognized form. But the Best is Formatted* according to the full style manual: AMA, or Vancouver style.
List of literature must be consistent with the principles established by the International Committee of Medical Periodicals Editors "Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted's Biomedical Journals" (www.nlm.nih.gov/bsd/uniform_requirements.html). Each reference should include the names and initials of all authors without dots, article title, summary or the full name of the journal, year, volume, first and last page. 7. Work evaluation (rules for reviewing the publication)

Registered entries are subject to anonymous evaluation. These works are sent to at least two independent reviewers from outside the unit.

In other solutions, the reviewer must sign a declaration of no conflict of interest; a conflict of interest is considered to occur between the reviewer and the author:

1. a) direct personal relations (kinship, legal relationships, conflict),
2. b) professional subordination relationships,
3. c) direct scientific cooperation during the last two years preceding the preparation of the review.

The review process should not last longer than 10-30 weeks, however, the Editorial Board can not guarantee a specific date of making a decision.

The review is in written form and ends with an unambiguous conclusion as to the acceptance of the article for publication or its rejection.

The final decision of accepting work for printing, accepting work on the condition that an adjustment is made or a decision to reject a job belongs to the editorial office and is not subject to appeal. The editors do not have to justify the decisions made.

The names of the reviewers of individual publications / numbers are not disclosed; once a year, the journal publishes a list of cooperating reviewers.

8. Explanation of "ghostwriting" and "guest authorship"
9. a) The editors require the authors to publish, disclose the contribution of individual authors in the publication (with their affiliation and contribution, i.e. who is the author of the concept, assumptions, methods, protocol, etc. used in the preparation of the publication), the main responsibility of the author notifying the manuscript.
10. b) Editors clarify that "ghostwriting" (a situation where someone made a significant contribution to the publication, without revealing their participation as one of the authors or without mentioning its role in the acknowledgments included in the publication) and "guest authorship" (situation where participation the author is negligible or did not have any place at all, and yet he is the author / co-author of the publication) are a manifestation of scientific misconduct.
11. c) Editorial staff asks authors to provide information on sources of financing of publications, contributions from scientific research institutions, associations and other entities ("financial disclosure").
12. Reservations

Works that do not meet the formal requirements for the layout of the text and the list of references will not be accepted. The editors reserve the right to remove stylistic defects, improve their standardization, and make necessary abbreviations as well as corrections and additions in the literature without an agreement with the author. The editorial staff does not verify quotes and their translations, therefore any quotes and their translations from foreign languages must be prepared by the author who is responsible for them.

10. Statements

Submission of the work for publication in the journal Journal of Education, Health and Sport is tantamount to submitting by the first author a statement (electronic acceptance) that publication of the work will not infringe third party copyrights within the meaning of the Copyright and Related Rights Act of 4 February 1994 ., Journal U. 1994, No. 24, item 83, (unified text: Journal of Laws 2006, No. 90, item 631), and that there is no "conflict of interest" which occurs when the author has financial or personal dependence affecting his activities related to the published article inappropriately.

11. Author's fees

The authors pay a fee 500,00 PLN BRUTTO for the publication of works accepted for printing transfer costs and bank commissions are borne by the sender (BANK COST OPTION OUR)!  Letters to the editor and other materials are published free of charge. Payment should be made by bank transfer to the account of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun after receiving information about accepting the article for printing.

The payment for publications in the closest possible issue of the journal 500,00 PLN BRUTTO or 115,00 EUR transfer costs and bank commissions are borne by the sender (BANK COST OPTION OUR)!

The data for the VAT invoice should be provided at the same time integrally with the payment and giving the article number by e-mail to Editor.

In the case of a payment with no simultaneous integral application or article number, or data to the VAT invoice, the VAT invoice will be automatically issued on the name of the payer!

 

The editors will start the publication process of the manuscript only after the information sent to the editors from the authors about the publication fee and presentation of the VAT Invoice Form.

12. Requirements for text formatting and illustrations

Texts should be sent in electronic files without a target text formatting (preferred font 12 points, 1,5 interline spacing, paragraphs highlighted in one empty line, do not distinguish titles in a different font, disable word splitting, table columns separated by single tabs, footnotes inserted automatically, no format spacing with a series of spaces, do not precede spaces with punctuation, do not use the so-called "hard space").

1. Prace oryginalne, krótkie doniesienia, prace poglądowe i opisy przypadków należy przesyłać do redakcji wyłącznie drogą elektroniczną przez portal czasopisma.
2. Prace oryginalne muszą zawierać: wprowadzenie, cel pracy, materiał i metody, wyniki, dyskusja, wnioski, lista piśmiennictwa. Streszczenia prac poglądowych muszą zawierać 1400-1800 znaków ze spacjami i muszą być podzielone na: wprowadzenie i cel pracy, skrócony opis stanu wiedzy, podsumowanie (wnioski). Objętość tekstu prac poglądowych nie ograniczona.
4. Prace oryginalne i poglądowe muszą zawierać od 2 do 6 słów kluczowych dobranych z uwzględnieniem pojęć zawartych w “Medical Subject Headings” MeSH.
5. Tekst prac oryginalnych i poglądowych musi być podzielony następująco:

Wstęp

We wstępie opisano, co autor ma nadzieję osiągnąć i jasno wskazuje badany problem. Powinien uogólnić odpowiednie badania, aby zapewnić kontekst i wyjaśnić, jakie badania innych autorów, jeśli takie istnieją, są kwestionowane lub wymagają kontynuacji. Koniec Wstępu wskazuje na cel opracowania.

Materiały i metody badań

W sekcji Materiał i metody podaj jasny opis badania i sposób jego przeprowadzenia; opisz procedury i materiały użyte specjalnie, aby badanie mogło zostać powtórzone.

Sekcja Materiały i metody powinna zawierać następujące podsekcje:

Uczestnicy

Opisz próbę: ilu uczestników, w jaki sposób zostali zrekrutowani. Wskaż główne dane demograficzne (wiek i odchylenie standardowe, rozkład płci itp.), główne kryteria klasyfikacji uczestników do grup. Uzasadnij reprezentatywność próby.

Na koniec zaznaczono, że uczestnicy podpisali formularz świadomej zgody na udział w badaniu. Jeśli uczestnikami badania są dzieci, formularz świadomej zgody podpisują ich rodzice.

Metody

Opisz zastosowane metody wystarczająco szczegółowo, aby umożliwić innym powtórzenie badania. Jeśli masz więcej niż jedną metodę, użyj podsekcji z odpowiednimi nagłówkami.

Nowe metody powinny być szczegółowo opisane, podczas gdy dobrze ugruntowane metody można opisać krótko i odpowiednio zacytować. Wskaż standardy oceny uzyskanych wyników lub odpowiadające im skale ocen.

Wymień narzędzia wykorzystywane do zbierania danych i wskaźniki, które mierzą. Narzędzia te mogą obejmować sprzęt, sprzęt komputerowy, oprogramowanie lub testy itp.

Przy opisywaniu wskaźników należy stosować Międzynarodowy Układ Jednostek Miar (SI) oraz standardowe skróty.

Procedura

Jeśli przesłane prace zawierają badania z udziałem ludzi lub zwierząt, wymagana jest zgoda lokalnej komisji etycznej, a autorzy muszą również potwierdzić, że eksperymenty opisane w manuskrypcie zostały przeprowadzone zgodnie ze standardami etycznymi Deklaracji Helsińskiej.

Analiza statystyczna

Wskaż, które programy zostały użyte do analizy statystycznej. Opisz procedury analizy statystycznej, ale nie ich wyniki: jakie statystyki wykorzystano w analizie danych, uzasadnienie zastosowania tych testów, wskaż poziom istotności zastosowany w badaniu. Przy małych liczebnościach próby zastosowanie wskaźników parametrycznych jest możliwe tylko wtedy, gdy potwierdzony zostanie rozkład normalny cech w agregacie.

Wyniki

Konieczne jest szczegółowe opisanie pozytywnych i/lub negatywnych wyników badania oraz wyników analizy statystycznej.

Ta sekcja powinna być poparta tabelami i rysunkami z minimalną ilością tekstu towarzyszącego. Wraz z danymi w tekście, a także w tabelach i na rycinach należy wykazać istotność statystyczną (podać dokładne wartości p do trzech miejsc po przecinku).

Nagłówki i podpisy do tabel i rycin powinny umożliwiać uznanie ich za oczywiste. Nie należy powtarzać już prezentowanych danych, tabel czy rysunków.

Wyniki powinny być przedstawione rzetelnie i nie powinny zawierać materiału nadającego się do dyskusji.

Jednostki, wielkości i wzory muszą być wyrażone zgodnie z systemem międzynarodowym (jednostki SI).

7. Ocena pracy (zasady recenzowania publikacji)

Zarejestrowane prace podlegają anonimowej ocenie. Prace te wysyłane są do co najmniej dwóch niezależnych recenzentów spoza jednostki.

W innych rozwiązaniach recenzent musi podpisać deklarację o niewystępowaniu konfliktu interesów; za konflikt interesów uznaje się zachodzące między recenzentem a autorem:

1. a) bezpośrednie relacje osobiste (pokrewieństwo, związki prawne, konflikt),
2. b) relacje podległości zawodowej,
3. c) bezpośrednia współpraca naukowa w ciągu ostatnich dwóch lat poprzedzających przygotowanie recenzji.

Proces recenzowania pracy nie powinien trwać dłużej niż 10-30 tygodni, jednak Redakcja nie może zagwarantować określonego terminu podjęcia decyzji.

Recenzja posiada formę pisemną i kończy się jednoznacznym wnioskiem co do dopuszczenia artykułu do publikacji lub jego odrzucenia.

8. Wyjaśnienie dotyczące „ghostwriting” i „guest authorship”
9. a) Redakcja wymaga od autorów publikacji, ujawnienia wkładu poszczególnych autorów w powstanie publikacji (z podaniem ich afiliacji oraz kontrybucji, tj. informacji kto jest autorem koncepcji, założeń, metod, protokołu itp. wykorzystywanych przy przygotowaniu publikacji), przy czym główną odpowiedzialność ponosi autor zgłaszający manuskrypt.
10. b) Redakcja wyjaśnia, że „ghostwriting” (sytuacja, gdy ktoś wniósł istotny wkład w powstanie publikacji, bez ujawnienia swojego udziału jako jeden z autorów lub bez wymienienia jego roli w podziękowaniach zamieszczonych w publikacji) i „guest authorship” (sytuacja, gdy udział autora jest znikomy lub w ogóle nie miał miejsca, a pomimo to jest autorem/współautorem publikacji) są przejawem nierzetelności naukowej.
11. c) Redakcja prosi autorów o podanie informacji o źródłach finansowania publikacji, wkładzie instytucji naukowo-badawczych, stowarzyszeń i innych podmiotów („financial disclosure”).
12. Zastrzeżenia

Prace niespełniające formalnych wymagań dotyczących układu tekstu i listy piśmiennictwa nie będą przyjmowane. Redakcja zastrzega sobie prawo usuwania usterek stylistycznych, poprawiania mianownictwa, dokonywania koniecznych skrótów oraz korekt i uzupełnień w piśmiennictwie bez porozumienia z autorem. 12. Wymagania dotyczące formatowania tekstu i ilustracji
