Gustav Landauer uznawał relacje społeczne za źródło państwa. W konsekwencji urzeczywistnienie anarchistycznego ideału miało być możliwe poprzez stworzenie nowych stosunków społecznych oraz alternatywnych instytucji w sposób oddolny, czemu winna towarzyszyć troska o zachowanie zgodności pomiędzy celami a środkami. Wskazuje to na pewne podobieństwo do tzw. polityk prefiguracyjnych, z czym koresponduje teza artykułu zakładająca, że zaproponowana przez niemieckiego ideologa strategia została oparta na założeniach charakteryzujących wspomniane polityki prefiguracyjne. Z tego właśnie względu celem niniejszego artykułu jest analiza oraz uwydatnienie podobieństw pomiędzy strategią zmiany społecznej zaproponowaną przez Landauera a koncepcją polityk prefiguracyjnych.
