Abstract

The article presents the most important changes which have taken place in the journal recently. They concern the new co-publisher, the periodical’s being included in the Academic Platform of Journals, changing to the Open Access formula, adding the digital identifier of the electronic document (DOI), new archival and index bases, introducing metabases and bibliography according to the Chicago style for all articles. The changes mark new trends of the development of Folia Toruniensia. The text briefly presents all the articles published in vol. XVII.

Janusz Tandecki, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. Institute of History

Prof. Dr hab. Janusz Tandecki is employed in the Institute of History and Archival Studies at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. His research interests focus on the history of towns, the Teutonic State in Prussia, auxiliary sciences (mainly Archival Studies and Diplomacy) along with editing historical sources. He published Cechy rzemieslnicze w Toruniu i w Chełmnie. Zarys dziejów (Toruń 1983) [Craft guilds in Torun and Chełmno: historical outline]; Średniowieczne księgi wielkich miast pruskich jako źródła historyczne i zabytki kultury mieszczańskiej (organizacja władz, zachowane archiwalia, działalność kancelarii) (Warszawa 1990) [Medieval books of major Prussian cities as historical sources and monuments of burghers’ culture (the organization of the authorities, preserved archives, the work of the chancellery]; Szkice z dziejów Torunia I Prus w średniowieczu i na progu czasów nowożytnych (Toruń 2008) [The outline of the history of Torun and Prussia in the Middle Ages and at the beginning of the Early Modern Times]; Edytorstwo źródeł historycz- nych in cooperation with Krzysztof Kopiński (Warszawa 2014) [Editing historical sources]. He is the vice-president of the Scientific Society in Toruń; a member of the Society of Polish Archivists, Historische Kommission zur Erforschung des Landesforschung in Berlin and the editor-in-chief of the scientific journal Folia Toruniensia.

Dr Mariusz Balcerek jest pracownikiem Działu Informacyjno-Bibliograficznego Wo- jewódzkiej Biblioteki Publicznej – Książnicy Kopernikańskiej w Toruniu. Jego zainteresowania badawcze koncentrują się na historii wojskowej okresu nowożytnego (XVI–XVIII w.). W 2010 r. obronił w Instytucie Historii i Archiwistyki Uniwersytetu Mikołaja Kopernika w To- runiu dysertację doktorską zatytułowaną: „Księstwo Kurlandii i Semigalii w wojnie polsko-szwedzkiej w latach 1600–1629” (Księstwo Kurlandii i Semigalii w wojnie Rzeczypospolitej ze Szwecją w latach 1600–1629, Poznań 2012), przygotowaną pod kierunkiem prof. dr. hab. Bogusława Dybasia. Publikował m.in. na łamach: Do szarży marsz, marsz... Studia z dziejów kawalerii, „Przeglądu Historycznego”, „Przeglądu Historyczno-Wojskowego”, „Studiów i Materiałów do Historii Wojskowości” oraz „Zapisków Historycznych”. Od 2011 r. jest redaktorem tematycznym czasopisma naukowego „Folia Toruniensia”.
