Publication Policies
PEER REVIEW PROCESS
Articles submitted for possible publication are subjected to a double-blind, peer review process which is consistent with the recommendations of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education in Poland and includes the following steps:
- The formal, technical and merits assessment of submitted scientific articles by the editorial board. The scientific article should correspond to the journal profile. The article should also meet the journal editorial standards presented in template with editorial standards available in downloads. The editors reserve the right to reject a low quality manuscripts that do not comply with the above-mentioned guidelines.
- Articles that are found suitable for review are then sent to two, independent, external reviewers, experts in the given academic field. The reviewers are not affiliated with the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management Nicolaus Copernicus University and with the research center represented by the author.
- Authors and reviewers do not know their identity.
- Review has a written character and clearly indicate whether the article is suitable for publication, whether it requires adjustment or whether reviewed text is not suitable for publication.
- Eligibility criteria of scientific articles publication are listed in the section information for authors.
- Form of review which fills reviewer during the review process is available in downloads.
- The list of reviewers for each volume is published in the paper version of the journal and on its website. The list of reviewers for each number is not disclosed.
- Based on the results of the evaluation, the editorial board decides whether the article is suitable for publication, whether it requires adjustment or whether reviewed text is not suitable for publication.
COPYRIGHT POLICY
Upon acceptance of an article, authors will be asked to complete a copyright transfer agreement that specifies detailed descriptions of the copyright transfer. The agreement is available in downloads.
RE-PUBLICATION
The authors can decide about eventual re-publication of their article. In case of re-publication an appropriate reference of the original publication is requested.
PLAGIARISM
By submitting the manuscript the authors declare that the text is their original work, does not contain any plagiarism and has not been published in or submitted to any other journal. The editor scans all submitted papers in order to detect plagiarism. If plagiarism is detected, the paper is rejected from publication.
SIMILARITY CHECK
The journal content is indexed in Similarity Check, the CrossRef initiative to prevent scholarly and professional plagiarism.
RETRACTION POLICY
The editorial board of Ekonomia i Prawo. Economics and Law is committed to uphold the integrity of the literature and publishes editorially significant correction dependent on the situation. In all cases, the original articles will be removed and replaced with a note stating the reason of retraction and with corrected version. If plagiarism is found, a whole article will be removed from the journal and replaced with a note indicating authors´ names and description of plagiarism. Authors and their institutions will be notified.
PUBLICATION ETHICS AND MALPRACTICE STATEMENT
The editorial board of the journal Ekonomia i Prawo. Economics and Law implements the best standards of publication ethics and take all possible measures against publication malpractices. The Ekonomia i Prawo. Economics and Law journal has adopted and applies the principles of publication ethics in accordance with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All parties involved in the publication process (editors, author, reviewer and publisher) should become familiar with the standards of ethical behavior used in the journal Ekonomia i Prawo.
