Abstract

In the Thomas Aquinas’s commentaries to the pauline letters can be found a very close example of the today so-called theological exegesis. In the specific case of his commentary to Ef 6,10–17, Thomas, convinced on the unity of the Sacred Scripture, discovers a number of biblical parallels which help to a better understanding of the text. He shows knowledge of the patristic exegesis on this passage as well. But, at the same time, he explains it in an original and pedagogical way.
