The First Epistle of John, fellowship, God, community, loveAbstract
In the First Epistle of John the Greek noun κοινωνία appears four times and describes fellowship with God as well as with brothers. Christians' relational identity is also depicted with phrases: “to be from”, “to be in”, “to remain in”. The communion with God and with other believers are interconnected. The foundations of unity are love and true faith. Thanks to κοινωνία a disciple of Christ walks in the light, has his sins forgiven and has eternal life.References
