Interpreting Romans 8,18-23 within the Imperial Context

The author deals with an important but often neglected topic in the literature concerning the interpretation of the Letter to the Romans - namely, the matter of corruption and redemption of the human nature. He believes the fragment Rm 8:18-23 becomes far more comprehensible in light of Greco-roman views on the nature. Paul argues with those commonly accepted pagan assumptions inthis matter and states firmly that only the power of the Gospel is capable of bringing harmony to the nature.References
